Design Contest Brief: Green Working Space with Palm Tree Ribs and Sustainable Materials

Objective:
The objective of this design contest is to create a green working space that integrates palm tree ribs and utilizes sustainable materials. The design should focus on incorporating these elements seamlessly to create a visually appealing and eco-friendly working environment.

Design Requirements:
1. Utilize Palm Tree Ribs: The design should creatively incorporate palm tree ribs as a prominent feature in the space. These ribs can be sourced from sustainably grown or recycled palm trees and should be used in an innovative and visually appealing manner.

2. Sustainability:

The design should incorporate sustainable materials throughout, promoting awareness of ecological responsibility. Consider using renewable, recycled, or upcycled materials that minimize carbon footprint. Ensure that the project aligns with eco-friendly principles.

3. Space Planning:

The space should be ergonomically designed to provide an efficient working environment. Consider creating separate working areas or zones to accommodate different work styles, providing various levels of privacy and collaboration opportunities.

4. Greenery and Biophilic Design:

Integrate ample greenery and biophilic design concepts into the space to enhance the connection with nature. Incorporate plants, living walls, or vertical gardens, maximizing natural lighting, and creating a tranquil and refreshing ambiance.

5. Productivity and Comfort:

The design should prioritize the comfort and well-being of the users. Ensure proper lighting, temperature, and acoustics to optimize productivity and create a pleasant working environment.

6. Multi-functionality:

Consider incorporating multifunctional furniture or flexible spaces that can adapt to various activities. Such versatility will allow the working space to serve multiple purposes and accommodate different needs.

7. Technology Integration:

Integrate smart and sustainable technologies, such as energy-efficient lighting systems, renewable energy generation systems, or IoT-based solutions that optimize resource usage and enhance the interactive experience for the users.

8. Amenities:

Include elements that promote employee well-being, such as relaxation areas, communal spaces, fitness zones, or sustainable snack bars. These amenities should encourage a healthy work-life balance and foster a sense of community among users.

Deliverables:
Participants are required to submit the following:

1. Visual Concept: Provide 2D and/or 3D visualizations illustrating the proposed design concepts. Include floor plans, perspectives, and any other relevant visual representations to communicate the design intent.

2. Material and Sustainability Report: Present a detailed description of the recommended materials, emphasizing their sustainability and ecological impact. Include information on sourcing, manufacturing, durability, and recyclability, to ensure the use of environmentally responsible materials.

3. Design Rationale: Justify the design choices made, highlighting the connection between palm tree ribs, sustainable materials, and the creation of an ideal green working space.
