Position: Product Designer - Sustainable Furniture Factory

Location: EGYPT

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Product Designer to join our sustainable furniture micro factory. As a product designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative and aesthetically pleasing furniture designs that align with our commitment to sustainability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineer, production manager, and marketing, to bring your designs to life while considering environmental impact. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainable design principles, a passion for furniture, and the ability to think outside the box to create unique and eco-friendly solutions.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop sustainable furniture designs:
- Research and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and sustainability practices to create innovative furniture concepts.
- Create sketches, digital renderings, and prototypes to communicate and refine design ideas.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the feasibility of designs from a manufacturing perspective.

2. Consider environmental impact:
- Incorporate sustainable materials, manufacturing processes, and end-of-life considerations into designs.
- Conduct lifecycle assessments to identify areas for improvement in terms of carbon footprint and resource efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in sustainable materials and manufacturing technologies.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- Work closely with production manager to ensure that design concepts are efficiently translated into the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with marketing team to create compelling product descriptions and visual materials that highlight the sustainable aspects of our furniture.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating suggestions from team members.

4. Quality control and testing:
- Develop and conduct rigorous testing procedures to ensure the durability, safety, and functionality of furniture designs.
- Monitor the production process, ensuring that the final products align with design specifications and sustainability goals.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in furniture design, with a focus on sustainable practices.
- Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and materials.
- Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of emerging sustainable trends in furniture design and manufacturing is a plus.
